Termini di utilizzo
As of July 2026
1. Scope
These terms supplement the Terms and conditions of the Acoustic Index platform, operated by AcousticIndex GbR.
They apply to all users of the platform, whether registered or using public features without an account.
2. Informational Nature of Data
Acoustic measurement data, material properties and calculated results shown on the platform are provided for general information only. They are not binding specifications for planning decisions.
Using the data does not replace independent review, professional acoustic consulting or qualified technical planning.
3. Origin and Responsibility for Measurements
Product data and measurements are provided by manufacturers or public reference sources. Manufacturers remain responsible for the accuracy, completeness and currency of their own information.
Acoustic Index acts as an intermediary platform and does not verify or validate manufacturer-provided data unless explicitly stated.
4. Disclaimer for Measurement Data
We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness or currency of displayed measurements, including absorption data under ISO 354 or ISO 10534-1, scattering data under ISO 17497-1, diffusion data under ISO 17497-2, calculated indicators such as αw or αp, or calculator results.
Liability for damage arising from use of or reliance on this information is excluded to the extent legally permitted. Mandatory liability for intent, gross negligence, life, body or health remains unaffected.
5. Reverberation Calculator
The reverberation calculator is a simplified estimation tool based on the Sabine and Eyring formulas. Results are approximate and do not replace professional acoustic simulation or specialist planning.
6. User Duties and PTB Reference Data
Users must independently check data before using it in planning processes. Original manufacturer test reports should be used for binding specifications.
PTB reference materials are included for comparison purposes from public PTB publications. PTB is not responsible for how those data are displayed on Acoustic Index.
7. Use of Downloaded Manufacturer Content
Content provided by manufacturers on the platform (in particular datasheets, texts, product descriptions, measurement data and images) remains the property of the respective manufacturer or is subject to the manufacturer's exclusive rights of use and exploitation.
Users may use downloaded content within their own planning work, in particular by incorporating it into tender documents, bills of quantities, planning documents or presentations relating to specific construction projects.
Any other use requires the prior written consent of the respective manufacturer. This applies in particular to passing content on to third parties outside the planning context, modifying images without labeling the modification (for example cut-outs, retouching or combining images with third-party brands), using content for own advertising purposes or to promote competing products, and reselling content.
Violations of these restrictions may lead to suspension of the user account. All rights in the content remain with the respective manufacturer.
