Texaa
Texaa is a privately owned French company with about 50 employees, based in Gradignan near Bordeaux. Since 1978 it has designed, manufactured and distributed acoustic solutions together with architects. Every product is covered with Aeria, Texaa's own sound-transparent knitted fabric, protected by an international patent and knitted in its workshop near Bordeaux in 30 colors. The range covers Stereo panels, Stereo Air open mesh panels, Strato ceilings, Vibrasto stretched cladding, Velio curtains, drapes and blinds, Kora screens and the Abso objects: cushions, pads, totems, cubes and cones. Texaa has offices in Frankfurt am Main and London, a sales contact for the USA, and exports worldwide.
Texaa Stereo Air open mesh panel
Description
Stereo Air shares the steel frame of the Stereo panel but has no absorbent core. It is dressed in Aeria Grande Maille Ronde, an open net Texaa created by widening the stitch of its usual knit. The mesh grows more transparent the closer you get. The panel is a visual filter rather than an absorber. Sound, conditioned air, light and heat radiation pass through, so lighting and ventilation above keep working, and lights can sit above the mesh or hang through it. Stereo Air is usually combined with absorbing Stereo panels in a Strato ceiling, where the share of open panels sets look and acoustics.
