ORGANOID GmbH from Fliess in Tyrol produces natural surfaces from hand-processed raw materials: alpine hay, Wildspitze, flowers and wool felt are compressed into surfaces without added binders, so they keep their scent and their feel. Under the name “Aesthetics & Acoustics” the company runs its own acoustics range. At the heart of the modular products is the Active Core, an absorber board of hemp and binding fibres that is 93.8% biodegradable. Alongside it comes the Infinity slat system on an MDF carrier for wall and ceiling surfaces.

Description
The Acoustic Panel Modular is a large-format absorber board with a hand-processed ORGANOID natural surface. Available in the formats 580 × 2320 × 20 mm and 1160 × 2320 × 20 mm. Available as the PURE version without lamination or with the surfaces ALMWIESE light (ALPINE MEADOW light in ORGANOID's English brochure) or WOOL white/sage green. The Active Core absorber core is made of hemp fibres and a binding component and is free from harmful substances. It can be punched, sawn, water-jet cut or CNC-machined. All 25 listed build-ups with 10 mm and 20 mm Active Core have been measured: direct mounting, 40 mm backfill and cavities from 20 to 190 mm, either empty or with 40 mm backfill.
