IMPOLUX GmbH

IMPOLUX GmbH from Kastellaun in the Hunsrück produces LED lighting and acoustic elements in its own manufactory. Under the SoundCover brand it makes absorbers from 100% PET fibre fleece with 50% recycled content: full-format boards, wall pictures, room dividers, edge and bass absorbers, and pendant luminaires whose body is itself sound-absorbing. Combining light and room acoustics from a single source allows project-specific custom builds. Shape, colour from 40 shades, design motif and lighting are configured per project.

Description

SoundCover VERTEX is an edge absorber for rooms with demanding acoustic requirements. It reduces low and low-mid frequency reverberation as well as room-induced booming (modes) and was developed together with a room acoustician. The modules are fitted into the room edge on a modular slot-in system and also conceal cables or pipes. The A_obj value alone does not fully describe the module's effect: in room corners the edge effect adds to it, and that effect cannot be modelled numerically in common room-acoustics simulations.
