BVS Akustik

BVS Akustik GmbH & Co. KG from Verl (East Westphalia) has been active in the furniture industry since 1990 and produces custom acoustic panels with CNC saws, purpose-built drilling lines and an in-house laser system. Almost all board materials are processed: solid wood, veneered, composite and decor boards, each cut, edge-finished and lacquered to the customer's specification. The range covers drilled (AKUSTIbohr), micro-perforated (AKUSTIpur), slotted (AKUSTIpan) and sound-absorbing partition elements (AKUSTItrenn), each in numerous hole patterns and build-up depths. The elements are available in fire classes B1 and B2 and, for sports halls, with certified ball-impact resistance. References include Princeton University, NYU and the Emser Therme.

Description

AKUSTIpan SL is the premium slotted acoustic panel from BVS with a linear structure. The fine slotting on the face gives the element a modern, timeless look, while the tongue-and-groove connection between panels produces an almost joint-free appearance and quick, simple installation. Slot widths of 2, 3 and 4 mm, grids of 8, 12, 16, 24 and 32 mm and an irregular slotting that reduces the moiré effect can be freely combined with drillings of 3, 4, 8 and 10 mm on the back. The carrier board can be MDF (NAF), plywood or three-layer board; a wide spectrum of veneers, decors and coatings is available for the surface. Cuts and cut-outs are possible directly on site, and production runs up to a format of 3500 x 1000 mm. The panel becomes acoustically effective through the interplay of the slotting on the face, the drilling on the back and the cavity behind. The absorber can be tuned precisely to each project through the combination of slot width, grid and drilling. Sound absorption is determined in the reverberation room per EN ISO 354 and rated per EN ISO 11654; for design work the full third-octave curve matters alongside the single-number rating.
