BK Raumakustik (Böcking Kemmerling Raumakustik GmbH) plans and delivers bespoke room-acoustic solutions made from the aPerf® material: from consulting through development to turnkey installation. Head office in Neuss, Rhine/Main branch in Frankfurt. aPerf® is a sound-absorbing nonwoven made of 100 % polyester (partly recycled PET bottles), thermally and mechanically bonded without chemical binders. The material is self-supporting and can be used without a frame, is dyed throughout, ball-impact-safe per DIN 18032, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified and fully recyclable. Manufactured in Germany and Switzerland. From the aPerf® materials BK Raumakustik builds wall panels, ceiling rafts, desk dividers, broadband and bass absorbers, acoustic prints and industrial hall acoustics. Member of the DGNB.

Description

The micro-perforated acoustic panel: around 300,000 micro-pores per m² in a surface lamination that reads as closed, on a high-absorption aPerf® core. From a normal viewing distance the surface looks smooth and closed while the acoustics stay fully effective. Wipeable and therefore also suited to hygiene-sensitive areas. In three versions: oak decor foil and real oak veneer (each 19 mm, one-sided) plus white PET (25 mm, double-sided). Tunable via wall distance and backing bass inserts (2/3/6 cm) up to the highest absorption class A.

Up to fire class: Low flammability (B-s1,d0) — aPerf® panel base plate only — Only the base plate (aPerf® panel) is rated low-flammability (B-s1,d0) per DIN EN 13501-1; the finished SmartPerf® is not low-flammability. A fully low-flammability version is in development but not yet market-ready.

Application: wall and ceiling panels for prestige and hygiene-sensitive rooms

Certifications: OEKO-TEX Standard 100; inert to fungi/bacteria DIN EN ISO 846; emission-tested AgBB 2021 / French VOC A+ / Belgian VOC

Colours: oak decor, real oak veneer, warm white (PET)
