Acosorb (Acosorb GmbH, Bocholt) develops and applies seamless acoustic spray and trowel plasters (acoustic plaster). The jointless wall and ceiling surfaces absorb sound and reduce reverberation while staying visually closed, with no visible joints, grids or cassettes. The spray plasters (Acospray range) are made of enriched, partly recycled cellulose fibres with a water-based binder and are applied in several cross-sprayed layers; Acoplaster F combines a non-combustible mineral-wool board with an acoustic-plaster top layer. Depending on layer thickness and build-up, absorption reaches up to the highest absorption class A. The materials are open to diffusion and hygroscopic (usable down to swimming pools and semi-outdoor areas), Cradle to Cradle Bronze certified and documented via an ISO 14025 EPD (MRPI) and Fraunhofer VOC verifications. Member of the DGNB. Reference projects in Germany and the Netherlands.

Acoplaster F
Acoplaster F is Acosorb's acoustic-plaster system with the finest, structureless smooth surface finish. It consists of two components: a non-combustible mineral-wool board and an acoustic-plaster top layer (the plaster is around 80 % cellulose). It is applied in a total thickness of 35 mm (3 mm board adhesive, 30 mm mineral wool, 2 mm plaster layer). In this build-up Acoplaster F reaches the highest absorption class A broadband (αw 0.95). Open to diffusion and, thanks to its hygroscopic properties, usable even in swimming pools; damage can be repaired almost invisibly. Weight after application around 7–8 kg/m².
