Building acoustics: sound insulation backed by test reports

Partition walls, floors, suspended ceilings, facade panels and noise barriers with Rw, Ln,w, Dn,f,w and DLR, every value with its source. Plus a dedicated search focus with matching filters.

Until now, Acoustic Index was about absorption: how much sound a material soaks up inside a room. Since 1 September the catalogue covers the other half of acoustics as well, sound insulation between rooms and towards the outside. That includes partition and system walls, floor and ceiling systems, suspended ceilings, sandwich and facade panels, and noise barriers.

Building acoustics has its own focus in search. It shows the building elements and brings its own filters: “Sound insulation in buildings” for Rw, Rw + Ctr, Ln,w and Dn,f,w, and “Outdoor noise control” for the classes per EN 1793. On the product page, every rating has its own block: the curve across the third-octave bands, the variants as a table, and below them the test institute, year and report number. Where the test report is available and may be shown, it is linked directly. Values measured under accreditation carry the green check, just like absorption data.
