Acosorb

Acosorb (Acosorb GmbH, Bocholt) develops and applies seamless acoustic spray and gypsum plasters (acoustical plaster). The jointless wall and ceiling surfaces absorb sound, reduce reverberation, and keep a continuous look, with no visible joints, grids, or tiles. The spray plasters (Acospray range) consist of enriched, partly recycled cellulose fibers with a water-based binder and are sprayed on in several crosswise layers. Acoplaster F combines a noncombustible mineral wool board with an acoustic plaster top layer. Sound absorption depends on layer thickness and build-up. The materials are vapor-permeable and hygroscopic (usable even in swimming pools and semi-outdoor areas), Cradle to Cradle Bronze certified, and documented by an ISO 14025 EPD (MRPI) and VOC test evidence from Fraunhofer.
